  • Philanthropy - In the height of the pandemic, on June 25th, 2021, we introduced Maharani. An Indian Queen. A line of queen-inspired outfits for purchase, made by Covid-affected grassroots women of India. Inspired by the Diwali Goddess Lakshmi, India’s Royalty, Maharani, a symbol of an Indian royalty born to empower women globally. The soul of a Maharani lies in engaging women from diverse backgrounds into one, by the divine Diwali’s Light of Hope. During the pandemic, Maharani was born in the city of Jaipur in Northern India from powerful women looking for a way to support their families and bring value to their craft. With modern tech, our CEO, Manisha Beriwala, helped design each of these exquisite handmade & handcrafted fashion pieces. Not only were these women able to generate financial wealth, but they were finding themselves. Grace - Goddess - Global. Maharani aims to empower fashion creators to express their creativity while generating financial wealth for their families and communities. Making every woman find her worth by finding her value, don’t donate but support these women by wearing their handmade pieces by buying them @maharani_tcd.

  • Philanthropy - TCD-Giving. The Corporate Diwali Giving is a non for profit, youth led, diverse, community service, organization.  We started giving in November 2020 due to a recent passing of a family member, which encouraged us to design this program in Remembrance. Led by teen youth community leaders, we offer certification of recognition to them for their service. This is a platform to serve & commemorate our loved ones by uniting diversity through food. At T.C.D. Giving, we make home cooked, vegetarian, and Indian meals every Diwali and Thanksgiving. Food helps us connect with our roots and our individual food boxes contain rice, lentils, a vegetable, a basic salad, and sweet dessert. The food is then delivered to the homeless shelter(s) we choose to provide for that specific year. At the shelter, T.C.D. Giving volunteers help set up, supply, warm the food, and serve it. Small conversations are made with the residents of the shelter.Last year we served 100 food boxes, this year we will most likely serve 500 boxes. @tcdgiving.

Our Aim

  1. To bridge unified inclusive community ties between non-Indian/south Asians with Americans, Europeans and other communities by celebrating Diwali festivity together as one with core mind-body soul values.

  2. With the philanthropic missions of Maharani, TCD giving and partnering with local charities, uplift and impact the local community in offering independence and growth.

  3. To promote Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights as a recognized international global festival on the likes of Christmas, Chinese New Year, Hanukkah, Easter, etc.

  4. To collaborate in creating a diverse local community of small businesses, entrepreneurs & vendors working in an inclusive space.

  5. As an ode to worship lady goddess, Lakshmi, to empower outstanding women/men

  6. Increase the scope of this community globally and in small cities too.

  7. With the expansion to International Women’s Day, we want to honor Women in diversity by embracing different colors and celebrating color with an ancient color play festival called Holi to offer blessings of newness and cultural roots
