Inspired by the Diwali Ancient Goddess Laxmi, we present India’s Royalty, Maharani, a symbol of an Indian royalty born to empower women globally. The soul of a Maharani lies in engaging women from diverse backgrounds into one, by the divine Diwali’s Light of Hope. During the pandemic, Maharani was born in the city of Jaipur in Northern India from powerful women looking for a way to support their families and bring value to their craft. With modern tech, our CEO, Manisha Beriwala, helped design each of these exquisite handmade & handcrafted fashion pieces. Not only were these women able to generate financial wealth, but they were finding themselves. Grace - Goddess - Global. Maharani aims to empower fashion creators to express their creativity while generating financial wealth for their families and communities.
Today's Update
The first Maharani photo shoot took place at the Montauk beach in the Hampton’s with local social media influencers styled by Nicole Himchology. Limited edition season 1 of Maharani skirts are a creation of brocade fabric stitched to perfection in a long flowing skirt pattern with 4 unique colors and patterns reigning to the Indian queen aka Maharanis. The Maharani skirts can be paired in multiple ways & styles to encourage a remix of the old with the new. Sold out in just a few months these brocades make women feel like empowered goddesses. Season 2 of Maharani skirts is a story told in bright colors with a fabric traditionally made in Jaipur, Rajasthan called the lehariya. They are designed into 2 styles in a fun kimono and long flowy queen-like skirts. This collection is playful, vibrant and has a breath of light youth. The kimonos were specially designed for TCD's women's day events & could be styled as instant royalty over a bathing suit cover up, a shawl over a dress or even a formal business attire to emphasize the glamor with color. The leheriya skirts are designed and ready for the Diwali season retreats, events, and galas. They can be paired with a statement belt, necklace and some fun tops to go with.
